**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES**
British American Tobacco Spain is looking for a passionate, highly motivated Sustainability Executive with a positive and can-do attitude, to join our Operations department, based in Madrid.
As a Sustainability Executive in our team you will have the opportunity to manage the topics relating to environmental, health & safety in a multinational company, with a dynamic team in an excellent working environment.

**ROLE SUMMARY**
**What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?**
The role of Sustainability Executive is to drive the Sustainability strategy, policies & Standards and implementation across the Iberia cluster, providing thought leadership, counsel, advice and support to the End Markets Line Managers & different Functions teams, that enables the seamless execution, in order to ensure that BAT Group protects its corporate reputation, license to operate and access to resources, and it is recognized as one of the most advanced in terms of sustainability standards and processes.
The role is also jointly responsible for building robust functional capability, knowledge, and skills within the Cluster to support the overall delivery of the group’s strategy and enable the business to remain competitive and profitable sustainable.
The role provides leadership of the sustainability strategy, polices and standards and drives performance across the cluster in support of Global targets.
**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**
- Drive ESG performance across the Cluster scope ensuring delivery against corporate commitments for BAT Operations and wider value chain in line with Organizational Ambition 2030.
- In line with group ambition development cluster deployment plans for new capabilities (Standardization and alignment) whilst optimizing cost and environmental performance
- Monitor our Sustainability (Environmental & Health & Safety) standards to make sure we fully meet the external and internal requirements and create best practices which further improve the overall wellbeing of our employees.
- Commit on ensuring Compliance Assessments are successfully achieved within the cluster, including Health & Safety
- Support cluster in operating and maintaining EHS & Environmental Management System
- Submit all Sustainability reports in a timely manner.
- Management of sustainability performance data KPIs and associated reporting process. This includes the monthly and quarterly analysis, investigation and interpretation of the key parameters and preparation of relevant reports.
- Contribute actively to achieving the Sustainability Objectives and Targets based on our Global Sustainability Vision
- Identify Sustainability -related development needs of local staff and use necessary development tools (e.g. training, coaching) to strengthen Sustainability awareness and commitment
- Monitor the effective implementation of Sustainability projects relating to company such as Green Fleet transition, Water Recycling & Waste Recycling improvement, enhancing Driving safety performance, to name some.
- Responsible for the management of the functional Sustainability budget in line with finance guidelines
- Regularly review the processes and ways of working for the role from a continuous improvement standpoint. Proactively raise issues and suggest ideas for improving efficiency and performance, looking after continuously raising the bar.
- Ensure all existing and potential threats to the end markets, arising from environmental impacts and Health & Safety risks are identified, analyzed, and managed.
- Build and maintain a constructive communication with colleagues in cluster as well as with regional teams for areas of responsibility.
- Drive cluster ESG performance and be the SPOC for all cluster ESG related topics and for some DRBU workstreams.
- Engage with experts across industries, academic, governmental, and non-governmental institutions in developing internal organizational expertise knowledge, benchmarking capabilities, and understanding of environment & sustainability developments.
- As a lead member and decision maker within the Cluster Sustainability department, contributes to the development of the sustainability policies, strategies and standards which enable BAT Strategy
