**Permanent employee, Full-time, remote possible in the following locations: Hungary, UK, Spain, Greece, Poland & Germany**

The VP of Hardware will be responsible for the success of the hardware products at Tier - this portfolio spans across consumer vehicles, infrastructure and platform elements. The portfolio excludes operating vehicles such as vans or similar and warehouse infrastructure.

We see this role as being a transformational role for the company; you'll be reporting to the cofounder and CTO, and you will be called on to work closely with the company leadership while providing your team technical guidance and mentorship at all levels.

The roles success is defined by delivering products within the parameters of the product briefing and exceeding the performance through constant improvement. The role understands in this context the limitations of hardware and understands to plan for it.

**THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT TIER**
- Alignment on hardware strategy across swarms with other VPs and CTO/CEO/CPO
- Alignment on company strategy with the executive team
- mentor to VPs/Directors of Hardware swarm
- Proactive actions where needed
- Appraisals for all direct reporting lines
- Take over or start development plan for all direct reporting lines
- Oversee risks and communicate them clearly to the company
- Participate in the executive team as a spokesperson for hardware
- Ability to drive a successful negotiation with foreign suppliers and maintain an excellent relationship as a platform for continuous collaboration

**YOU'LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- You've led multiple product development cycles and delivered high volume consumer products into the market
- You have a proven track record in building hardware products for B2B, B2C and/or B2G
- You have 10+ years of experience in product engineering and demonstrable experience leading development teams
- You're an exceptional business and people leader with demonstrable leadership experience within tech companies at scale
- You're an an outstanding communicator who can mediate and translate across departments
- You're technically equipped to guide your teams on architectural decisions
- You have a proven track record in growing, leading and structuring tech-organisations of 100+ FTEs
- You have previously worked in companies going through rapid growth
