**About the Role**
As a **Visual Journalist**, you will:
- Process daily content, editing and script writing in English
- Provide creative storytelling ideas
- React quickly to breaking news
- Create and maintain visual planning entries for the day-to-day schedules as well as for long-term planning
- Demonstrate your enthusiasm for Spanish news and culture to infuse stories with local flavour
- Identify news stories and interesting story angles, coordinating between visuals and text teams sometimes across the region
- Collaborate closely with Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon bureaus and production teams in London
- Tackle stories from a diversity of viewpoints, experiences, and perspectives.
- Travel, on occasion, to back up bureau in other countries
**About You**
To be our **Visual Journalist**, you will likely have:
- Excellent news judgement and a passion to deliver stories to our clients
- Ability to write scripts with a high level of English
- Ability to use a video camera is a bonus but not a must have
- Grit, the ability to think on your feet and deliver despite challenging conditions
- Eagerness to participate in planning and organisation of news stories
- Creativity - that special touch that can make our story telling stand out
- Be calm under pressure and enthusiastic
- Strong team player, able to collaborate with text and photos across multiple offices
- Bilingual level of spoken and written English, high level of Spanish with Portuguese or any other European language a bonus
