Job summary

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is looking to hire an experienced program manager to join the ATS Surface Transportation (ST) cost management team responsible for leading cost reduction initiatives across EU with multiple ops teams. You will be part of a dynamic team that will own/lead/deliver a critical metric for ATS.

You will need to have a true hands-on approach, strong program leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority across many teams to generate creative solutions to key strategic problems in the transportation world. As this position involves regular interaction with senior leadership (Director/VP) in ATS/ST, you need to be comfortable communicating clearly at that level whilst also working directly with various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization across Amazon.

Key job responsibilities
- Own cost savings initiatives and program activities in the EU for Surface Transportation including identifying new areas of opportunity to reduce costs.
- Work across multiple ATS business units to interface with 3P, Amazon Managed and Carrier Management, and influence them to drive the initiatives identified by you.
- Managing several competing priorities, you will ensure critical programs remain visible to all stakeholders whilst maintaining a delivery plan for less urgent matters.
- You will dive deep where required and not be afraid to learn about each stakeholder’s contribution and challenges, whilst maintaining a think big perspective at all times.
- You’ll own Business Reviews (XBRs) communications for your business and write and present business cases using information acquired from various stakeholders.
- manage on-time performance for Surface Transportation
- Experience in Transportation, Freight Forwarding, Procurement and Logistics - a strong plus
- Background of owning strategic planning, taking business level objectives and translating to delivery plans
- SQL/Excel or ability to manage data a big plus
