For our office in **Madrid **we are looking for a
**Legal Counsel Corporate - Madrid**
**Your responsibilities**
- Independent supervision of all legal questions/issues of the Aquila Group with a focus on corporate and commercial law, investment law (in particular, distribution of investment products and financial supervisory law) and litigation
- Independently drafting and review of various international contracts
- Participation in contract negotiations
- Implementation of new corporate structures (mergers, de-mergers, winding up of companies)
- Advising and training of staff of all departments on legal issues, especially regarding current developments in supervisory law
- Implementation of regulatory requirements in the Aquila Group, support of the respective departments
- Steering of external legal counsels as well as acting interface between external legal counsels and the business team
**Your qualifications**
- Fully qualified and admitted lawyer in Spain
- At least 4 years PQE in a (big) international law firm or legal department of a business or financial company
- Profound knowledge of corporate law, commercial, investment law and financial supervisory law
- Full professional proficiency in English (additional language skills beneficial)
- Highly motivated personality with strong negotiation and communication skills
- Profound understanding of commercial aspects as well as of complex structures
- Organised, result-oriented and independent way of working; prioritisation of tasks; hands-on mentality
- Confident appearance towards our internal and external partners
