Contribution to the design of the TBM box, including the attachment between the TBM box and the TBM shield;
- Support to the design of the design of the TBM shield;
- Performance of analyses related to the TBM Set design: Thermo-mechanical, seismic, thermo-hydraulic, CFD, electromagnetic, MHD, nuclear and RAMI analyses;
- Support to the development of CAD models;
- Contribution to the analysis of needs and design aspects related to the instrumentation integration in the TBM Set;
- Support to the development of the regulatory documentation (such as hazard analysis or ESP/ESPN classification) connected to ESP/ESPN;
- Contribution to the development of the requirement propagation at level 3 (TBM Set) and level 4 (TBM box, TBM shield);
- Support to the development and maintenance of systems engineering documentation such as VCD (Verification Compliance Document) and DCM (Design Compliance Matrix) documents;
- Help in the monitoring of the R&D activities carried out by the EFLs and coordinated by EUROfusion on topics impacting the performance of the WCLL-TBM Set, such as MHD studies, experiments on TBM box mock-up, CFD, etc.;
- Contribution to the preparation and finalisation of PDR documentation such as TBM-Set Load Specification, System Design Description or engineering analysis reports.
- A bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Nuclear Engineering;
- At least 6 years of relevant working experience;
- Experience in the use of codes and standards for the design of mechanical components (at least one of the following: ASME III, ASME VIII, RCC-MR, RCC-MRx, Eurocodes, EN standards, European Directives, etc.);
- Experience in the definition of the design of mechanical systems based on relevant manufacturing processes (forming, forging, rolling, joining, machining, assembly, testing, etc.);
- Experience in the production and/or assessment of built-to-print documentation is an asset;
- Experience in the definition of the manufacturing tolerances of mechanical assemblies considering the final dimensional requirements of the assemblies, including functional annotation is an asset;
- Experience in the performance of FMEAs and/or functional analyses and/or reliability analyses and/or spare part analyses is an asset;
- General knowledge of welding (TIG, GMAW, SMAW, EB, etc.), and/or brazing and/or HIPping is an asset;
- Fluency English, both written and spoken;
