**Profile**
- The Role:
The Financial Controller will report to the Head of Finance in Spain and will coordinate the local finance team, working closely with the Group Finance function based in London, the Spanish outsourced accounting and tax services firm and other advisors.
The Financial Controller´s main responsibilities include managing a growing team of Project Controllers; maintaining and improving financial processes, reporting and controls; coordinating the local statutory audits and Group audit component; preparing quarterly Spanish IFRS consolidation for Group reporting purposes; supporting the Growth and PF team in non-recurring transactions; Integration and optimization of new acquisitions. The Financial Controller will also oversee and support the rest of Finance team to ensure that the following activities are properly performed across all Spanish entities: loan compliance; monthly management accounts; statutory accounting and tax compliance
Desirable Skills:

- Degree in Accounting/Finance and a recognized accounting qualification
- Proven experience, ideally within an energy, utility, industrial company or similar industry. Big 4 profiles with relevant industry experience will also be considered.
- Strong technical skills and hands-on experience in Spanish GAAP, IFRS, consolidation and tax.
- Strong project management skills - to project manage the audit, external providers, quarterly consolidation.
- Excellent Spanish and English language knowledge both written and verbal.
