**About the Role**:
Over the lifetime of Swvl, we've gathered a plethora of data that enables us to create efficient and cost effective transportation networks and we are making this available to SMEs and Enterprises.
The B2G Tribe builds solutions for different size enterprises ranging from transport as a service for SMEs to large dedicated installations for transit authorities, operators and governments.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Lead the B2G Engineering Tribe, defining strategy and driving execution
- Directly influence the growth and development of engineers of different levels positively
- Recruit, coach and empower engineering leaders and engineers
- Plan and deliver against deadlines
- Ensure that our fearless and truth-seeking culture is practised consistently throughout the organization.
- Interpret the company-wide vision and direction set forth by the executive team members and establish the vision, direction, and plans for your teams.
- Partner with internal stakeholders including product, design, operations and executive leadership to deliver true impact on the ground
- Ensure strong performance and quality standards are consistently placed and maintained
This is a hands-off, manager-of-managers role.
**About You**:
You are a technical leader with deep knowledge in software engineering, scalable and distributed software platforms, and a deep understanding of the SDLC, DevSecOps and Agile principles. You are well versed in business terminology and are a great communicator.
You have the following qualifications:
- Great command of English
- Exceptionally good communication skills
- 8-10 years experience in a fast paced mid-to-large engineering organization
- 5 years management experience with at least 2 years managing managers
- Experience working in a fast pace engineering environment
- Track record building and leading a high performing engineering organization
- A strong demonstrated record of hands-on engineering experience and up to date with cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices.
- Experience working with Cloud Infrastructure including AWS and/or GCP
- Experience working with containers, kubernetes clusters and cloud native systems is a plus
- Experience in project management and data analysis
- Track record of driving strategic initiatives effectively
- Experience leading distributed and remote teams
