Senior Financial Accountant Investment Accounting

As Senior Financial Accountant, working closely with the Finance Manager and the Accountants in charge, you will supervise the production process for annual financial statements of Spanish and non-Spanish entities (Luxembourg).

The role requires daily interaction with the local Manager, the Senior Accountant and the teams based in Luxembourg and London.

**What you will do**:

- Gather financial data from the accounting system and any other tool where disclosure information would be needed from;
- Be in charge of preparing a set of accounts for Luxembourg and Spanish entities at this stage - other jurisdictions may follow subsequently;
- Prepare accurate statements (balance sheet, income statement, statement of equity,) and disclosure notes in compliance with legal regulations;
- Liaise with relevant teams, where required, to obtain the necessary information for the explanatory notes;
- Supervise and monitor timely preparation of those accounts for appropriate filing;
- Coordinate the full process from extraction of the Trial Balances and General Ledger to the filing of the financial statements;
- Share those accounts with the relevant parties once finalised (Tax, Legal & Compliance and Debt reporting teams )
- Lead a small team of Financial Accountants, drive their engagement and development.

**What you will bring**:

- Minimum 4-5 years of experience within an accounting or finance function;
- Relevant education in Finance;
- Fluent in English; Any other language will be an asset;
- Previous experience guiding and coaching a small team;
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Rigorous with a great sense of organization;
- Solid planning, coordinating and leadership skills;
- Critical thinking, continual learning and with effective time management skills;
- Good understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams;
- Hands-on experience with MS Office; Experience in Yardi Voyager (desirable)
