As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you empower our customers to sell transfers, tours & activities digitally by providing a scalable, reliable and easily-maintainable infrastructure running our services.
Tasks
- You enable the engineering squads with a scalable and reliable infrastructure to deploy their services. You constantly seek for optimisation opportunities on our tech stack and keep up with latest trends and enhancements in the AWS environment.
- You optimise the performance of our services by looking at data points collected in our AWS ecosystem. Can queries be optimised? Can caching be made more efficient? Can we route traffic differently? Those are questions you ask yourself on an ongoing basis to strive for performance improvements.
- You keep taps on our security standards and ensure we are protected from attacks.
- Take initiative to improve existing solutions, challenge decisions, propose augmented alternatives and address technical debt.
- Contribute to our roadmap creation process by supporting with estimations and impact analysis.
- Don’t just code and pick the next task from your team’s board, but understand the user pain points and business needs to ensure a high product-market-fit.
**Requirements**:
- A minimum of 5 years working experience in cloud engineering
- Extensive knowledge of the AWS ecosystem
- Extensive knowledge on operating Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience of building and managing micro services in the cloud
- Good understanding of Service Oriented and Microservice Architecture.
- Knowledgeable on sql and no-sql databases
- Knowing Argo CD is a big plus
