**Functions to be carried out**:
- Conduct market research to understand market requirements for new product development.
- Identify business needs and integrate market research to determine the needs and objectives of new products.
- Conceptualising new product ideas using CAD software to design prototypes.
- Manufacture prototypes for testing.
- Testing products throughout the design process to solve any problems.
- Sampling different materials, manufacturing processes, design tolerances and other factors to find the best fit for the new product.
- Delivering product specifications and procedures to the manufacturing team for production purposes.
- Analyze existing products to identify areas for improvement and update current documentation.
- Develop quality control criteria and safety guidelines and ensure that all team members adhere to them.
- ** Education**: Degree in Engineering. Master's degree: Design engineering, production.
- ** Skills**: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and quality control protocols. Experience with 3D modelling software for mechanical and electrical design. Communication and teamwork. Planning and organisation. Creativity and problem solving.
- ** Languages**: Essential English Level B2
- ** Previous experience in a similar position**: Previous experience in design and development of generator sets and lighting towers or closely related product topologies. 5 - 8 years.
