**Main Responsibilities / Activities**
The Application Engineer is a key technical support to the sales team during the sales process of complex solutions.
He/she is responsible for proposing the most suitable technical solutions to customer’s requirements, whilst ensuring a complete and accurate end-to-end cost estimate and a comprehensive description of the solution proposed.
He/She is responsible to ensure with the rest of the value stream to ensure that execution of the project, should it be successful, is aligned with standard design and procedures.
He/She will report to the Applications Engineer Supervisor.
**Main tasks**:
- Technical support sales managers in customer requests for quotations of complex systems or when the collection of more technical information or further details is required.
- Execute technical proposals through system engineering or cost estimating of necessary components or modules.
- Manage quotations from external suppliers, Coesia companies and/or other Volpak departments to ensure an end-to-end technical solution and cost estimate.
- Execute required testing to proof the solution proposed and validate required performance guarantees required by customers.
- Test the formats to validate the sizing of the requested sachet to minimize risks during production and startup.
- Internal Sales to liaise between customer and internal stakeholders to ensure the correct execution of standard projects.

**Basic Requirements**
- Junior Profile with expectations to grow within the company, either toward sales or project management
- Ability to stand in the customer’s shoes
- Curiosity, Transparency, Honesty, Hands-on, willing to go the extra mile to succeed
- International Mindset and intercultural ability
- Technical Background is required, ideally in engineering (Mechanical, Process, Electrical, Software, )
- Travel availability to the region (Worldwide, especially North America)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (self-organization)
- Clear and structured communication style; ability to summarize and extract insights
- Design abilities (AutoCad, SolidWorks or other 3D design software)
- Fluent in English and Spanish is a must; other languages appreciated
- Engineering degree
- Minimum 3 years’ experience from an engineering function
