IT Business Intelligence Analyst

The IT Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for gathering requirements for EMEA Business Intelligence projects, translating those requirements into technical specifications and delivering the BI solutions. The IT Business Intelligence Analyst works closely together with business users and IT team members to understand, improve and implement business requirements. The IT Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for leading small to medium sized projects, providing BI support to end users and managing IT incidents and service requests.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**
- Analyze new business requirements for Business Intelligence & Analytics and execute to deliver the IT BI solutions
- Actively participates in IT Feasibility Studies
- Lead projects of small to moderate complexity and achieve successful IT BI projects delivery
- Communicate documented analysis and executive summary with IT recommendations
- Translate BI functional requirements into technical specifications and build robust and sustainable BI solutions for all projects and demands.
- Perform analysis, design, implementation and monitoring/maintenance activities in areas of IT BI
- Support EMEA IT BI systems for commercial sales, commercial excellence and manufacturing.
- Applies principles, concepts and practices of the IT Service Management (ITSM), Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Continuously identifies and pursues opportunities to improve systems in terms of reliability, usability and performance
- Keep abreast of BI technology trends and developments
- Collaborates and supports from an IT perspective on software validations, CAPA’s and IE’s.
- Interfaces with suppliers and internal support functions to evaluate software, hardware or services and makes recommendations.
- Proactively enforces worldwide and local security policies to ensure IT information assets are protected.

**Expected Areas of Competence**
- Proven experience working in IT
- Skilled in Power BI development essential; QlikView/Tableau desirable
- Knowledge of ELT, data modelling, data mining and data analysis skills
- Experience in project management
- Understanding of business processes
- Analytical mindset

- Continuous improvement and results orientation; acts with a sense of urgency and delivers results on-time and on-budget

**Education/Experience Requirements**:

- S. degree in business, computer science or information systems or 2+ years equivalent work experience.
- Strong English Skills
- Communicates clearly and concisely both verbal and written
- Has strong analytical skills to be able to quickly identify underlying problems and design solutions to these problems
- Can work independently, set the right priorities and is a self-starter
- Is flexible of mind and willing to continuously learn requirements of other functional areas
- Is aware of the legal requirements and corporate guidelines with respect to system validation, for e.g. FDA, BSI, TüV, SOX, etc.
- Is aware of the legal requirements and corporate guidelines with respect to electronic data records.

**Travel Requirements**:

- 10%
