Funded by MCIN/AEI/ 10.13039/501100011033 and by the “European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR" **Share this opening**: Use the following URL: - The physics of semiconductor lasers - Design of optical/photonic laser cavities using CAD simulation tools, incl. DFB and DBR structures - Hands-on expertise on nanofabrication tools needed for photonic structure fabrication and thin film patterning and integration - Building optical and electro-optical setups for laser characterization techniques - Prior expertise on the above demonstrated with solution processed semiconductors (quantum dots, perovskites etc.) is not required but will be considered a plus. Salaries for ICFO Postdoctoral positions are assigned by the Selection Committee, based on experience and seniority of the applicant, as well as the assigned tasks and responsibilities within the group. Standard salaries range from a lower level aligned with national Ramon-y-Cajal fellowships to higher levels aligned with Marie Skłodowska-Curie individual fellowships. The contract is offered for a period of 2 years.
