**Job Title**: Attractions Design Lead
**Location**: Barcelona Spain
**Reporting to**: Senior Design Project Manager

**Role Overview**:
Scruffy Dog Ltd is seeking an experienced Attractions Design Lead to manage and oversee the design process of themed attractions. This role requires an individual with a creative vision, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of design, construction, and technical integration within the themed entertainment industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and inspire a team of designers through all stages of the design process to deliver innovative, high-quality designs.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and ensure design concepts align with project goals.
- Oversee the development of designs from concept through to implementation, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and technical feasibility.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other specialists to ensure designs are technically viable and meet all regulatory requirements.
- Create detailed presentations and visual materials to communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating cutting-edge design techniques where applicable.
- Ensure all designs meet safety standards, building codes, and relevant regulations.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring smooth coordination between teams and on-time delivery.
- Responsible for interpreting and develop all criteria required to implement the attraction concept and develop the project in order to maintain and monitor the design integrity of the attractions
- Supervision the concept direction, capacity for resolution of any design problems or conflicts

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- At least 5 years of experience in attractions design or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior leadership or design management role.
- Experience in show set design, including set dressing, props and rockwork design as well as ride vehicle
- Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, or other 3D modelling tools.
- Strong understanding of spatial planning, theming, architectural drafting, and design principles.
- Proven experience in managing design teams and collaborating across multiple project stages.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- A degree in Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in the themed entertainment industry, working with global brands or large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with environmental graphics, immersive technology, and interactive experiences.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards specific to attractions and themed environments.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or 3D modelling software is a plus.
