The group actively engages with society, decision-makers, and businesses to exchange knowledge and develop user-oriented services. The aim of the ESS is to enhance knowledge and technology integration and improve resilience, by accelerating adaptation to a rapidly changing environment. **Key Duties** - Assess the value of climate and air quality knowledge and services that support resilience and climate change adaptation. - Analyse climate change impacts by integrating socio-economic, ecological, and technological dimensions of urban systems. - Coordinate with other research and practitioner projects and initiatives to exchange knowledge and organize dissemination and user-engagement activities and events. - Participate in project meetings, and contribute to project reporting, and the preparation of scientific publications. **Requirements**: - Education - A MSc in economics or similar field with demonstrated knowledge of quantitative research methods. - Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience - Demonstrated understanding of climate change adaptation and mitigation topics. - Demonstrated ability with quantitative methods. - Experience with urban planning and adaptation. - Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience - Knowledge of urban air quality problems and solutions. - Experience with writing research project proposals. - Experience with designing business plans and working with intellectual property topics. - Interdisciplinary experience. - Competences - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. - Ability to work in a professional environment within an interdisciplinary and international team. **Conditions** - The position will be located at BSC within the Earth Sciences Department - We offer a part-time contract, a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures - Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration - Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement - Starting date: Asap **Applications procedure and process** - A full CV in English including contact details - A cover/motivation letter with a statement of interest in English, clearly specifying for which specific area and topics the applicant wishes to be considered.
