Role Description

This is a full-time on-site HR Officer role located in Barcelona at Camino Barcelona Spanish Language School SL. The HR Officer will be responsible for a range of day-to-day tasks related to supporting and implementing human resources policies and ensuring legal compliance across all HR functions. This role involves managing employee records, overseeing recruitment and onboarding, and serving as the primary contact for legal and policy-related HR matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and maintain employment contracts and HR-related legal documentation.
- Monitor changes in labor legislation and update internal policies accordingly.
- Handle employee complaints and internal investigations in line with legal and ethical standards.
- Serve as the point of contact for legal questions related to employee relations.
- Maintain and organize confidential employee records and HR files.
- Collaborate with external legal advisors when necessary.
- Train HR staff and management on compliance procedures and legal requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes to ensure legal alignment.
- Coordinate with payroll and finance teams to ensure labor law compliance in compensation and benefits.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to manage disputes, settlements, and potential litigation.
- Participate in the development of HR policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.

**Requirements**:

- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Located in Barcelona.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR/legal certification is a plus).
- Proven experience (3+ years) in an HR officer, HR generalist, or similar role, with exposure to legal and compliance matters.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
- Experience drafting and managing employment contracts and HR legal documentation.
- 35 hours of work per week, with the possibility of working one weekend per month
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain legal and policy matters clearly
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure
- Ability to analyze and interpret legislation and translate it into practical policies and processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving HR operations.
- Organization and attention to detail
