German multinational, leader in the automotive auxiliary sector: tyre distribution and logistics. As Data Engineer you will be supporting in developing logics to help make raw data more useful to the enterprise. This includes the overall Engineering processes (incl. methods, roles, templates, process variants) and tool chain (incl. workflows) governance as well as quality standards aligned with internal stakeholders and use case needs. The published salary range (~45k) is approximate, it will depend on the knowledge and experience you can bring. The position is to work in a HUB located in Madrid, reporting directly to Headquarters in Hannover. The HUB offices are the same as the Spanish market offices, but the position belongs to Headquarters, not to the market itself. You must have **at least 3 years of experience**. A **high level of English** is absolutely essential, as 100% of your work is carried out in English. In addition, you must be **available to travel** at least once a month to Germany (whenever possible). Possibility to **telecommute 2 days a week**. Your schedule will be from Monday to Thursday from 9h to 14h and from 15h to 18h and on Fridays from 8h to 15h. Your tasks in this position are: - Ensures that data comes in the right format to be combined with other vehicle data, keeping the customer centric vehicle data hub "Single Source of Truth" (SST) and use-case frontends in mind. - Ensures data docking to the SST in the right format so data can be - Owner of vehicle and fitment information within the SST - Responsible for setting up and continuously improving the logics of the vehicle fitment creation within the SST - Ensuring that data can be accessed and handled by internal frontends - Implementing security access concept - Collaboration driver between diffrent business areas in terms of vehicle data implementation What do we need from you? - University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or comparable qualification - Min 3 years of experience in data engineering, experience with real-time and data mining architectures and Hadoop architectures - Advanced understanding of data management tools and database technologies - Experience in database development - Working knowledge of software development cycles; familiar with agile development methodologies and expertise with customer-oriented solutions - Advanced English language skills (written and spoken) - Problem solving skills, good time management and communication skills
