**About the role**

As a **Senior Legal Counsel,** you will work closely with our Head of Legal on various projects, overseeing the legal aspects of our business and providing proper advice to management. If you are a dynamic, detail-oriented, and hands-on lawyer, and want to be part of a growing Fintech and challenging experience, this is your place.

**What you'll do**
- Support our rapid growth and internationalization by finding tailor-made solutions which will not cause delay but promote our mission.
- Structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, ensuring that they are commercially and legally sound and in line with company objectives and context.
- Proactively look out for ways to improve existing commercial agreements.
- Anticipate problems and initiate actions to ensure legal issues are addressed efficiently.
- Provide business partners with a thoughtful legal perspective, guidance, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Taking ownership of drafting, negotiating, and providing advice and support on our most important commercial contracts, partnership agreements, and strategic projects.
- Managing relationships with external counsels to ensure efficient project delivery and optimum outcomes.
- Collaborating with colleagues and advisers to deliver innovative solutions to complex issues and ensuring specialist matters are fully understood and considered as part of the project management process.
- Develop relationships across our business to identify and manage risks whilst ensuring appropriate commercial outcomes. Actively engage in discussions with senior executives.
- Work closely with the commercial team on a day-to-day basis to provide pragmatic advice on a wide range of matters to ensure our interests are protected.

**What you’ll need **‍**
- A degree in Spanish law.
- 8+ years of experience as an attorney in a renowned big law firm focused on commercial law. Additional in-house experience will be appreciated.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English.
- Experience in advising high-growth, VC-backed start-up/scale-up companies will be a plus.
- Experience advising companies within the financial sector in corporate law, sophisticated commercial contracts, capital markets, or complex financing transactions.
- Experience leading and motivating a team will be a great advantage.
- Ability to independently organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment, often with short deadlines.
- Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An organized approach to quickly identify and solve a problem.
- Ability to be creative and flexible with a focus on business-oriented outcomes.
- Ability to think “outside the box” and address complex matters with a risk-based practical approach and creative solutions.
