From Hays Response we are searching for an Interim Senior Finance Controller for a multinational company that develops industrial/pharma packaging located in Mataró, Barcelona. The Controller will be responsible for the overall integrity of financial information and for managing the accuracy and timeliness of all internal and external financial statements and compliance reporting.

Specific responsibilities:

- Direct and prepare all periodic financial reporting for the Company, including the preparation of financial statements.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Record Division activity and maintain Division ledgers, striving for best-in-class people and processes.
- Develop and prepare reporting packages to facilitate review of the financial statements with key constituents, including the finance/accounting management team and CFO. Provide updates regarding significant changes to accounting principles and policies.
- Establish and maintain effective accounting standards, policies, and processes to ensure that required recording, analysis and reporting of financial information is clear and consistent, and available at all levels of the Company on a timely and accurate basis.
- Prepare and compile forecast budgets and recommend financial performance benchmarks to analyze Company's performance.
- Develop an effective system of internal controls, procedures and policies, and document and test key processes and dependencies.
- Work closely with the external auditors to coordinate procedures for the annual audit.
- Manage the tax compliance activities of the company through outside firms, tax returns and other required reports.
- Manage direct reports and develop the accounting team.
- Lead major projects and perform ad hoc analyses as directed by the Corporate Controller and the executive leadership team.

We are searching for senior profile with at least 7 years of experience in accounting and finance controlling in a manufacturing environment, strong knowledge of US GAAP, and experience with the preparation and presentation of financial statements, strong technical accounting skills coupled with both an operational and entrepreneurial mindset. SEC/SOX knowledge is helpful from a controls and GAAP perspective. Strong oral and written communication skills to convey information clearly and persuasively, very strong drive, dedication, and work ethic, team-oriented with the ability to collaborate and contribute.
