**The Institute**

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. **The role**

We are looking for an enthusiastic Grants & Project Support Officer to join the CRG International and Scientific Affairs (ISA) department.

This position will be involved in the management and coordination of the CorEUStem project (COST Action CA20140), headed by Dr Laura Batlle and aimed at establishing the European network of reference in stem cells, differentiation, organoids and gene editing. The post holder will assist in the implementation of the activities of the project, which include the organization of training schools for implementing new cutting-edge technologies emerging in the field, as well as annual meetings, thematic workshops, conferences and short-term missions focused on building and strengthening the network of Stem Cells Core Facilities across Europe.

Occasional travelling is required locally and abroad.

**About the department**
The ISA Department focuses on strengthening the international and interdisciplinary dimension of the CRG and creating new opportunities in projects and collaborations for the scientific community. The team provides strategic advice and support to the Director; fosters and coordinates institutional projects and collaborations; supports the CRG community in securing competitive funds for research and institute-related activities; provides comprehensive support in the preparation and submission of proposals and in grant acceptance process and acts as a liaison with the funding agencies or sponsors/donors.

**Whom would we like to hire?**

**Professional experience**
**Must have**
- You have experience in the administrative management of scientific communication and training events (e.g. conferences, summer training programmes) in an academic context
- You have specific experience in the implementation of competitive calls for grant proposals for R&D of public funders throughout their whole process
- You have previous experience in the management of statements of expenditures, report certificates and other documentation resulting from the management of sponsored research activities

**Desirable but not required**
- You have previous experience in a research environment
- You have knowledge of competitive grant opportunities for R&D and national and international level and practice in preparing and assembling collaborative grant proposals for R&D activities

**Education and training**
- You hold a University degree. A post-degree training focused on strategy, development and funding of research may be an advantage

**Languages**
- Advanced knowledge of English and Spanish
- Good knowledge of Catalan would be a plus

**Technical skills**
- You have a good command of MS Office (MS Word, Excel and Power Point)
