Key Purpose:
- To manage, organise and improve the activities that concern the company’s production facility, in particular the filling department, in order to meet delivery dates, following agreed quality standards and appropriate regard for safety and industrial relations, to enable the company to set competitive and profitable prices for its products. To effectively manage and develop the team of colleagues within the Filling department.- To help the OPEX Manager with continuous improvement projects, activities and trainings.
Key Responsibilities:
Production planning follow up- Ensure the compliance of production planning in Filling area, in order to supply finish products to Distribution Centre in the amount and date requested, at the established quality.
Productivity and Waste Control- Ensure to achieve established productivity levels and waste reduction targets, in order to reduce production costs, maintain competitive level and increase production capacity.
Management of staff- Manage the Filling Department staff, paying special attention to organization aspects, hiring and internal promotion, in order to achieve employees’ motivation, teamwork attitude and a pleasant working environment, which will deliver the maximum performance.- Coordinate with Production Manager, and inform HR Department, on recruitment needs, in order to ensure short term Filling production planning can be performed.
Maintenance- Verify that preventive maintenance plans assigned to the production staff are realised correctly and according schedule.- Prioritize maintenance team interventions for urgencies.
Coordination between departments- Collaborate with plant departments to improve the coordination, in order to achieve a better efficiency in production processes, and so better production results and costs reduction.
Continuous Improvement- In line with the results of internal benchmarking and with the guidance of the Opex Manager, work with the site management team to identify and deliver improvement opportunities and projects which will lead us towards a lean supply chain and lean office environment.- With the management team, champion the development of staff at all levels through engagement and involvement in continuous improvement opportunities at all levels.- Facilitate the removal of barriers to enable colleagues to stay focused and motivated on improvement opportunities and projects by ensuring they have the necessary resources and support.
Complaints:
- To follow up production complaints and make suggestions for improvements.- Analyse current production procedures and standards to identify inefficiencies in order to increase output and decrease costs.
Non conformities:
- Part of the daily performance review processing meeting, solves and facilitates daily non-conformities
Productivity- Measure and monitor the progress of productivity improvement initiatives using the agreed key performance indicators and provide feedback to management and colleagues in formats they understand.
Training- Delivering Trainings/workshop sessions on industrial processes and process improvement- Creation or modification of training content and SOPs- Carrying out the training- Follow up
Technical Competencies & Qualifications:
**Qualifications**:
- Intermediate University Education in Engineering or or high level of education obtained through experience in Production Management area.- From 2 or 3 years of experience in similar position.
Technical competencies- Computer Knowledge (SAP, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel )- Recommendable English knowledge.- Trained in Operational Excellence/Lean Manufacturing- Continuous improvement thinking.- Problem solver.
