This role involves managing the IPR team structured under registration pilar and license pilar. The IPR manager has define the internal procedures to make sure BSC is managing the IPR portfolio in the most appropriate way considering the external legal framework as well as internal policies. The mission of the I&BD Unit is to translate cutting-edge research into groundbreaking products, services, and processes that drive societal and economic impact. His/her role will be to identify, register and protect the BSC project results in the most appropriate way, helping to turn scientific discoveries into market-ready solutions. **Key Duties** - Manage the registration procedure of BSC project results by assuring that BSC is protecting research project results in the most appropriate way - Manage the research results identification process - Manage the research results registering process - Manage the research results protecting process - Manage the updated process of BSC portfolio of technologies - Manage the legal procedures to licence BSC technologies to third parties (spin off tech transfer agreements, open-source license, etc.) - Monitor and report the performance the IPR office, tracking key metrics, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing strategic interventions when necessary. **Requirements**: - Education - Business or Law degree preferred (applicants with a science or engineering degree will also be considered) - Master’s degree in intellectual property or similar - Knowledge on innovation, entrepreneurship or business development or similar a plus - Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience - +3 years of experience in IPR management - +3 years of experience on legal issues - Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience - +2 years of experience on entrepreneurship - +2 years of experience on licences - Competences - Fluency in English, Spanish and Catalan essential - Good written and verbal communication skills **Conditions** - The position will be located at BSC within the Directors Department - We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures - Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration - Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement - Starting date: 15/11/25 **Applications procedure and process** - A full CV in English including contact details - A cover/motivation letter with a statement of interest in English, clearly specifying for which specific area and topics the applicant wishes to be considered.
