This individual will coordinate closely with PepsiCo’s Data + Analytics Head of Data Science and the Data Science Delivery Lead to refine the strategic vision regarding intelligent systems applied to Supply Chain use cases.
This role is accountable for executing the build of IBP components. This professional will have a key role in creating and driving a culture that values and understands the importance of data.

**Your Day to Day with us**:

- **
Accountable for the creation of data science components in the IBP product**:

Interact with executives across the enterprise to manage the narrative around data science and analytics applied to IBP.
- Build and manage a team capable of creating data science components, and solving challenging data science problems.
- **
Accountable for planning and execution of data science activities in IBP programs and initiatives**:

- Align with other DS lead on reusable components across initiatives.
- Conceive, plan, and prioritize data science and analytics programs and initiatives, consistent with the global Data & Analytics vision
- Be aware of advances in data science technology and best practices in IBP use cases
- Oversee and report on data science work on IBP projects.
- **
Consult on and execute data science and analytics problems in cross-function use cases’ green fields related to IBP.**:

- Guide the development of experiments and pilot programs to test new data science capabilities in the IBP space.
- Work with the innovation DS lead and the innovation leads across the PepsiCo ecosystem

**Qualifications/Requirements**:**
What will you need to succeed?**
- Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or any other related quantitative field.
- Extensive working experience in Supply Chain use cases
- Extensive working experience in a data science position, preferably working as a Senior Data Scientist or Enterprise Architect.
- Proven and successful track record of building and leading high-performing data science teams
- Proven experience as a senior Data Scientist with a growth mindset and leading a sector-wide function
- Deep knowledge of machine learning models and techniques and ability to use them to solve important business challenges
- Knowledge of data management, governance, and compliance
- Knowledge of modeling and visualization techniques
- A knack for statistical analysis and predictive modeling
- Deep understanding of AI/machine learning
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and the ability to inspire and engage multi-functional teams in a complex and rapidly evolving environment
- Excellent communication and data translation skills

The Data Science Pillar in D+A will be the organization where Data Scientist and ML Engineers report to in the broader D+A Organization. Also DS will lead, facilitate and collaborate on the larger DS community in PepsiCo. DS will provide the talent for the development and support of DS component and its life cycle within D+A Products. And will support “pre-engagement” activities as requested and validated by the prioritization framework of D+A.
