Central Operations (CO) refers to a new approach within Amazon Logistics (AMZL) to define a scalable solution to run the increasingly complex and growing last mile delivery network. CO is a key strategic initiative with a vision to transform the way AMZL executes forecasting, route planning, demand scheduling and last mile delivery. This role focusses on optimizing last mile delivery operations and scheduling across Amazon's European network, with varying levels of responsibility. The Operations Manager position emphasizes strategic leadership, process development, and team building in ambiguous business environments, while the EU CO Intraweek Capacity Manager specifically oversees capacity optimization and process improvement across EU operations. The EU CO Intraweek Manager role is more tactically focused on daily operations, working with operations and planning teams to achieve key performance indicators in forecasting, capacity utilization, and process adherence. All positions require cross-functional collaboration with various teams including Planning, Transportation, and Tech, while contributing to the strategic growth and efficiency of Amazon's Last Mile delivery operations. - Advanced or master's degree
- Relevant experience scoping, leading, and implementing process improvements through: Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma
- Relevant experience in analysing data and creating reports for leadership
- Relevant experience working with Structured Query Language (SQL), MS Office Suite (Excel, Word), Tableau or Python.
