The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Manufacturing team is part of the Intelligent Delivery Group in SAP. We, as a team, are supporting customers all over Europe in their Digital Transformation journeys: Solving complex business challenges with cutting edge technologies and providing support in adopting Future Innovations in the Manufacturing solution area.
We are looking for an experienced Industry 4.0 Principal Architect with deep and proven experience in delivering and supporting successful E2E Customer Centric projects in the Industry 4.0 area.

Role Description
- Support in escalated projects
- Performance of feasibility studies / solution reviews
- Support of pre-sales activities (license and consulting)

**EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS**:

- Supporting SAP’s Manufacturing Industries customers with implementation in the areas of Industry 4.0 both on Prem and Cloud space.
- Help customers to adopt/evaluate the fitment of SAP Best Practices
- Collaboration with Product Management / supporting projects for new SAP solutions for Industry 4.0 projects when required.
- To provide thought leadership and resolve complex issues in escalated projects.
- Project Bid support - creation and execution of presentations and demos to customers and partners.
- Supporting the Ramp-Up of new SAP products/solutions at our customers in the Manufacturing sector and supporting knowledge transfer to partners and customers where required.

**QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**:

- Adequate career in Manufacturing
- Fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes for Discrete and Process Industries
- Industry 4.0 experience and SAP IoT platform knowledge
- Ability to communicate, in Spanish and English, complex ideas effectively; both verbally and in writing
- Proven track record and expertise in defining and implementing automation across all stages of the value chain (Industry 4.0/IoT)
- Proven experience of delivering architecture designs for Smart Factory & Industry 4.0 programmes
- In depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and a thought leader in effectively bringing modern IT solutions together with OT on the shop floor
- Expert on modern manufacturing technology approaches to MES, Predictive Quality, Process Intelligence & SAP integration
- Good understanding of data architecture and the importance of data strategy to Smart Factory initiatives, including AI/ML.
- Good understanding of IoT security
- Good understanding of designing scalable and performant solutions
- Comprehensive knowledge of Industry 4.0/Smart factories. This includes IoT, Data Acquisition, Machine Learning, and Big Data Analytics, additive manufacturing, digitalization and augmented reality
- Profound knowledge of the SAP Services business for the respective area as well as internal SAP processes
- Understanding of SAP’s overall strategy and contribution of Services to customer success
- Implementation experience in SAP Manufacturing Products
- Implementation Experience in any one or more of SAP Industries (IM&C, Automotive, HiTech & Aerospace & Defence)
- Strong integration knowledge of integration with Logistics, inventory management & plant maintenance
- Understanding of recent areas like Digital Manufacturing Cloud & Business Technology Platform
- Implementation Experience/exposure to SAP S4 HANA Cloud is preferred

**WORK EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 10 -12 years consulting experience
- Minimum 7 to 8 End to End Industry 4.0 implementation project experience
- Must have domain experience in manufacturing industry.
- Has managed difficult client situations
- Understands the Business Process Library approach and is contributing to it
- Acts as a moderator in the KM environment
- Managerial Experience
- Acted as a team lead in more than 2 projects
- Acts as a coach or mentor for colleagues

**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**:

- Bachelor’s Degree - Master’s degree preferred but not required or equivalent work experience
- **English and Spanish: Fluent**
