The Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for managing and reporting all financial and KPIs for each line of business, providing support to the business, and delivering excellence in business analysis, reporting, and financial analysis/support.

**Responsibilities**:

- Co-ordinate the monthly/weekly financial and KPI reports for the business on a timely basis.
- Support the reporting of business performance and scenario analysis for businesses
- Partner key functions such as Sales and Marketing to provide financial support, advice and reporting that will help drive decision making
- Provide detailed schedules and analysis for review with the head of Financial Planning, Finance and Senior Management.
- Write monthly forecast commentary giving causation factors where identified - reflect corrective actions in forecast or update trends to ensure accuracy is continually improved
- Support specific areas of responsibility with detailed cost analysis/forecast and help drive the budget owners to hit their cost challenges
- Improve the business focus and presentation of information.
- Maintain documentation for processes, procedures and controls.
- Ad-hoc projects which require financial input/advice, analysis and interpretation of financial results.
- Work with other areas of finance to influence their activity in fulfilling the activities set out above.

Experience
- Minimum 5 years Finance experience
- Demonstrable data manipulation and analytical approach to work - ability to draw conclusions and find trends in data
- Proven stakeholder management experience with strength to push back where appropriate
- Demonstrate a strong financial/commercial acumen and track record of achievement
- Proven ability to meet set targets and deliver business objectives
- Superior knowledge of business performance appraisal and financial analysis.
- Demonstrable experience of adding value, innovation, and managing/reporting financial performance
- Proven experience in providing business and decision support to Senior Management
- Able to demonstrate the ability to analyse complex commercial data and provided structured conclusions and/or recommendations

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Economics or Business Administration
- Experience with American Accounting Plan
