**About the Role**
Protential Resources, on behalf of our client - a well-established beef farm in Ireland - is seeking a **Veterinary (EU-qualified)** who is passionate about large animal health and beef production. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious vet who wants to gain hands-on farm experience in one of Europe’s most progressive agricultural environments.
You will work closely with the farm management team to ensure high standards of animal welfare, herd health, and productivity. The position is ideal for recent veterinary graduates or early-career veterinarians seeking to develop practical expertise in herd health management and beef cattle production.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor and maintain the overall health, welfare, and productivity of beef cattle.
- Carry out routine health checks, vaccination programs, and biosecurity protocols.
- Assist with calving, reproductive management, and disease prevention strategies.
- Liaise with external veterinary specialists, nutritionists, and laboratory services as required.
- Keep accurate health, treatment, and production records in accordance with Irish regulations.
- Support continuous improvement in animal care and sustainable farming practices.
- Work collaboratively with the farm team to ensure the smooth daily operation of the herd.
**Requirements**:
- Veterinary degree **recognised within the European Union** (EAEVE-accredited or equivalent).
- Eligible for, or in process of, **registration with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI)**.
- Strong interest in **large animal / beef cattle practice**.
- Good command of **English (spoken and written)**.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently on the farm.
- EU citizenship or valid right to work within the EU (no work permit required).
