**About the role**:
Able is seeking a visionary Head of Data to join our executive team and lead our data revolution This strategic leadership role involves defining and championing our data strategy, and transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business growth. Your focus will be on fostering a data-driven culture and collaboration across the organization.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead and Manage Team: Build and manage a high-performing analytics and data team, including hiring, team development, and training initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and growth.
- Foster Data Culture: Promote a data-informed culture across all business functions, encouraging data literacy and empowering teams to make data-driven decisions.
- Strategic Roadmap: Develop and prioritize the analytics roadmap, strategically plan resources, and ensure timely and efficient delivery of data solutions aligned with business goals.
- Project Management: Oversee the rollout of analytics solutions, ensuring projects meet milestones, stay within budget, and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Insightful Reporting: Design and deliver insightful, user-friendly reporting solutions for senior management and various business units, enabling them to track performance and make informed decisions.
- Requirement Consolidation: Collaborate with different business functions to gather, consolidate, and support their analytics and data requirements, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
- Business Insights: Analyze complex datasets to derive actionable business insights, identify growth opportunities, and support strategic decision-making processes.
- Tool Stack Implementation: Implement and maintain a modern analytics tool stack across the data pipeline, ensuring robust data extraction, transformation, and visualization processes.
- Pipeline Oversight: Oversee the entire analytics and data pipeline, implementing best practices for data management, ensuring data quality, and creating comprehensive onboarding and documentation processes.
- Talent Development: Nurture existing team talent by designing and implementing career progression plans, and fostering a continuous learning environment through training and development initiatives.
- Data Science Strategy: Develop and implement high ROI data science strategies and use cases, such as LTV and retention prediction, user segmentation, and growth forecasting, to maximize business value from data.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in data management, analytics, and strategy, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a SaaS company.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute data strategies that drive business growth.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset.
- Deep understanding of the SaaS industry and subscription-based business models.
- Proven experience in building and leading analytics and data teams, particularly within a rapidly growing tech startup environment.
- Demonstrated ability in hiring and nurturing data teams, with a focus on learning and training initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse teams and instill a data-informed culture.
