Novicap is an end-to-end working capital solutions provider focused on enabling CFOs/Finance teams of SMEs to pay their suppliers and collect from their customers. This includes short-term credit (factoring, supply chain finance and loans) and payment automation solutions.

With offices in Barcelona and Madrid, we are currently looking for a **Head of Capital Markets**. In close collaboration with the CEO, you will be responsible for ensuring that Novicap is adequately funded.

**What will you do?**

As mentioned, you will be responsible, together with the CEO, for ensuring that Novicap is adequately funded both: (i) for its own operating needs, at corporate level; as well as (ii) for its credit platform, using structured finance agreements with third parties like credit funds and other financial institutions.

In order to achieve your mission, you will:

- With respect to Corporate Capital Markets
- Manage relationships with existing shareholders (including Tier 1 venture capital firms like Partech)
- Develop relationships with prospective shareholders, ranging from growth equity funds to financial services private equity funds
- Establish and nurture relationships with potential corporate debt providers such as commercial banks (as of today, Novicap is free of any corporate debt)
- When relevant, coordinate deal execution with existing and prospective investors or debt providers
- Benchmark Novicap against the European’s Fintech Lending market and Spain’s Alternative Lending market to better position our equity story
- With respect to Credit Platform Capital Markets:

- Analytics / Marketing:

- Run regular analysis of the credit portfolio we originate, in order to understand our performance and feedback to other business areas on areas for improvement
- Benchmark Novicap’s platform against the European trade receivable financing market to better understand our positioning as an asset originator
- Write up and keep up-to-date presentations or memos for use with our existing and prospective funders
- Existing funders’ relationship management:

- Manage relationships with our key existing funding partners, which are credit funds and other financial institutions
- Dealing with existing funding partners’ queries, including reporting (e.g. monthly servicer report) or analytics requests
- Platform treasury management: design and maintain a system to optimize cash deployment rate of our various funding facilities, by balancing transfer requests with business activity (repayments vs. originations)
- New funders’ business development: identify and grow relationships with prospective funders, for both existing and new products
- Deal structuring and execution: managing the whole lifecycle of a structured finance transaction, from ideation to term sheet to long-form documentation

**Who will you be working with?**

You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the rest of the teams across Barcelona, Madrid and the rest of Spain. We are a young and dynamic team that’s waiting for you with arms open

**You are the right fit if you**:

- Have more than 10 years of experience in structured finance (asset-backed or trade finance securitization) in a transaction-oriented role, covering origination, structuring and execution
- Have excellent analytical skills, in particular using Excel to conduct portfolio reviews
- Have proven ability to construct and synthesize an investment thesis in a presentation or demo format
- Have demonstrated capacity to present confidently to third-party investors and develop such relations over time
- Have a network of funders and institutional investors in the structured finance space
- Are a smart thinker with strategic vision
- Are self-starter and have good interpersonal skills
- Have high attention to details and accuracy, and are transparent and honest
- Meet tight deadlines while collaborating with multiple teams in the organization

Bonus point if you have at least one experience in a Fintech company.
