**Position Overview**: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director to join our Investment team at Nzyme Fund. You will play a key role in leading investments, contributing to the strategic direction of the fund, and ensuring operational excellence. We are looking for someone who is excited about Private Equity, technology investments, and enjoys a hands-on approach to value creation.
- Experience: Over 10 years in investment management, with at least 8 years in Private Equity.
- Education: Degree in Engineering, Business, or Economics from a top-tier university (technical degrees are a plus).
- Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English; proficiency in other languages such as Portuguese, German, or French is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience in programming and data analytics is highly valued.
- Teamwork and Autonomy: Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision while also collaborating effectively within a team.
- Organization: Exceptional organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities & Competences**:

- Strategic Leadership: Lead the execution of Nzyme Fund’s investment strategy, ensuring alignment with market trends and emerging opportunities. Report directly to the Fund’s Managing Directors and drive the fund’s vision.
- Investment Management: Oversee the fund’s investment portfolio, ensuring optimal allocation, risk management, and performance. Make data-driven decisions on asset selection, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Investment Execution: Lead the end-to-end execution of investments, from the analysis of potential opportunities and risk assessment to the negotiation of terms and deal closure. Manage due diligence processes and draft/negotiating legal documentation, with the expectation of delivering transactions independently. Develop strong relationships with management teams and stakeholders.
- Investor Relations: Cultivate and manage relationships with current and potential investors. Provide regular updates, performance reports, and address investor concerns while aligning their expectations with the fund’s strategic goals.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of VPs, analysts, portfolio managers, and investment professionals. Supervise the creation and development of financial models to evaluate investments. Foster a culture of growth, excellence, and collaboration within the team.
- Business Development: Identify new investment opportunities and strategic partnerships that align with the fund’s objectives. Explore new markets, sectors, and trends to drive the fund’s growth.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee selected portfolio companies, ensuring strong operational and financial performance, risk management, and value creation. Collaborate with portfolio companies' management teams to develop and implement their value creation plans.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with investments, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and internal policies.
- Firm Building: Ensure the fund operates efficiently, optimizing internal processes, technology, and reporting systems. Adopt a proactive, hands-on approach to build a high-performing organization.
- Governance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all regulatory, financial, and operational standards. Prepare Investment Committee materials and report directly to the Investment Committee with updates on portfolio performance, new deal flow, strategy, and initiatives.
- Fundraising Support: Support partners in fundraising efforts when required.
