Takeda is currently hiring an experienced and passionate **Learning & Development (L&D) Manager Iberia**, to create the best Learning and Growth to attract, retain and develop our People.

Based in Marid and reporting to the Data Digital & Technology Director with solid line to HR Head, the L&D Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing the Learning and Development Strategy in Spain and Portugal.

As a L&D Manager you will play a critical role transforming the company into a best-in-class patient-centric and customer focused organization with a passion for learning and growth. Your work will ensure Takeda has the competencies required to differentiate itself in a highly competitive environment ensuring we have the capabilities we need for today and tomorrow, and promoting learning, development, and continuous improvement to fulfill employee´s potential.

**Key priorities and responsibilities of the role**
- This is a **strategic and management role** where you will liaise with senior leaders and HR area to ensure the **overall learning and development strategy is in line with the broader business plan**. Constantly re assessing organizational learning and development needs to ensure they are aligned with business needs.
- You will act as an **_expert_** to the various Takeda Businesses and Functions, and will be responsible for initiation, development, deployment, and tracking of learning & development programs that are aligned to the organization’s strategies and goals as well as to our Takeda Iberia Learning&Growth pillar.
- Your contributions will help establishing an inclusive environment and a flexible culture of learning and growth by leading, designing and deploying **training and coaching programs** that elevate the **competencies** of Takeda employees across the organization.
- In partnership with HR Department, monitor and support the implementation of the **On Boarding** plan, helping establishing and designing Learning pathways according to business strategy.
- Maintain an **internal and external focus**, actively search out industry-leading trends / learning technologies and networking to explore and identify the most effective and innovative training, learning and delivery initiatives and projects that increase effectiveness and maximize resources.
- Build and create robust methods for **tracking**, reporting, evaluating and analyzing performance of the L&D area and the effectiveness of the programs delivered.
- Define, allocate and manage the **L&D budget**, making data-driven recommendations during budget setting to ensure the most effective allocation of resources and return on investment
- Pro-actively manage **internal communications** in conjunction with relevant stakeholders to ensure widespread awareness of L&D activity and performance at all levels across Takeda.
- Use previous experience with **Agile methodologies** to design and deploy training and coaching programs that elevate Agile Working competencies, aimed at improving business excellence processes throughout the organization.
- ** Lead and coach the Learning and Development team** to ensure they act as a high-performing team through development, performance management and leadership

In addition to the specific accountabilities listed above, the Learning and Development Manager will also be responsible for the following:

- Collaborate with HR area to manage career management and lifelong learning activities, matching development opportunities to development needs throughout different actions
- Consult with cross-functional colleagues among EUCAN to share best L&D practice and ideas to support the successful delivery of key projects aligning to our regional needs.
- Develop deep insights about the cross-functional links in the organization and introduce team development opportunities to promote best practice sharing and synergies that create well-orchestrated, high performing teams.
- Work with cross-functional partners throughout the organization to develop in-function Learning and Development champions to build the ‘L&D muscle’ across Takeda and develop a culture of peer-to-peer support.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

Education
- University degree in a health sciences, business, or related field of study.
- Post graduate degree preferred (MBA or similar)
- Understanding of Pharmaceutical market business, marketing and financial principles.

Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Learning and Development role with a proven track record of creation and execution of Learning Strategy.
- Minimum 3 years in a management role.

**Skills**:

- Passionate about continuously improving and creating excellence in Learning and Development.
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- Extensive experience employing multi-channel learning platforms and practices (i.e. virtual/e-learning/micro-learning).
- Knowledge of sales and marketing processes.
- Strong business acumen
