We are now looking for a talented and ambitious Financial Controller reporting to the Country Finance Manager in Doctoralia Spain. The job is based in Barcelona where we have our amazing headquarters.

As Financial Controller you will be responsible for the quality of accounting and financial information. For this reason, one of your main tasks will be the management of accounting closings by analyzing the data, entering journal entries and correcting errors. You will also provide support in the Budgeting process while providing explanations to any possible deviations.

**What will you do?**
- Gather and analyze financial data
- Prepare monthly closing reports, carrying out analysis and ensuring the quality of the information
- Coordinate the closing process with the accounting team, complying with the established deadlines
- Provide support to the rest of the Financial department - entering month-end journal entries & acting as internal auditor, correcting errors, calculating provisions, payroll entries, etc.
- Support the Finance Manager with the audits and sending the accounting information upon auditors´s request
- Preparation and review detailed reports, according to the group's requirements such as analysis and justification of deviations, cashflow, Reconciliation Template, AR Register, Fixed Assets Control, etc.
- Forecast, analyze and optimize cost of processes and controls related to accounting, acting as a process consultant. Support local functions in the adoption of processes, in addition to monitoring and supporting projects that affect financial information in general (R2R, O2C, P2P)
- Create and manage budgets and monitor spending: Monthly analysis reports of deviations vs Budget to justify the main deviations, detect opportunities for improvement and propose actions
- Support preparations for the quarterly Budget and Re-Budgets expenses
- Collaborate with other technical departments including Business Intelligence, Back Office (ie payments, in-house designed CRM, etc.), HR and Sales Operations
- Support the improvement and automation of internal processes. Leveraging technology to improve the efficiency and control of our operations and deliver higher quality information to the business with a strong focus on automation
- Participation in projects for the definition, implementation and improvement of analytical management systems

**Requisitos**:
**What makes you a strong fit**
- +4 years of proven experience as a financial controller, cost specialist or similar role
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field
- Fluent in Spanish & English, written and spoken is a must
- Experience in data, operational and financial analysis
- Knowledge of accounting processes and ERP software (ideally Netsuite)
- As a plus, experience working with payment portals such as Adyen or Stripe
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication aptitude
