Head of Strategy and Planning

**About the opportunity**: We are looking for a Head of Strategy and Planning. You'll report to our Director of People Analytics and Operational Excellence and will be responsible for coordination of complex People projects, maintenance of a People roadmap, oversight of the People budget and be the point of contact for our Risk team for People risk and compliance topics. Your role is at the heart of making our People function more organised and less siloed. You will drive efficiency through use of data to quantify and demonstrate progress in meeting our strategic goals. You have a super power for structuring and leading projects, giving early warning to key stakeholders of risks and dependencies and can navigate complex regulated environments with many different working styles. You use your wide People, change management, finance and risk experience to enable the function to execute on strategic priorities while at all times maintaining regulatory compliance and budgetary control. **In this role, you will**: - Support the VP People & Culture in structure, coordination and delivery of the the People strategy (inc People roadmap) with detailed direction and support from members of the PLT - Create a project management framework for the function, using N26 approved project methodologies and ways of working to keep the People initiatives on track and on budget - Be the primary coordinator of the People Risk and compliance initiatives and be the primary point of contact for our 2nd line of defence Risk colleagues - Embed process ownership across all People teams and create the framework to allow them to identify, manage, and mitigate the identified risks across the function - Be the central coordinator of the People budget and partner with Finance to deliver improved insight and analysis of the critical cost drivers for People and wider N26 - Create budget understanding and ownership for the PLT and develop simple systems to allow them to track and explain variances, while getting regular updates for reforecasting and inputs for the annual budget cycle - Work with the PLT to create the structure and relevant reporting and tools to monitor the efficiency of the People function. This could be across sentiment of stakeholders, ratio and cost analysis and operating model conversations - Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to allow you to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to give them trust in your judgement and expert knowledge - Help drive the overall strategy and direction of the POPEX team leveraging previous experience in People Tools, People Analytics, People Experience and People Strategy & Planning areas - Create the key metrics and indicators to report on achievements as well as the management of risks and issues across the People function - Bring exceptional business acumen to challenge the status quo and drive all activities to make N26 an innovative, proactive and data driven digital organisation **What you need to be successful**: Background: - 5+ years of professional experience in project management - 7+ years of People experience, ideally across multiple functions and disciplines - Experience of working in a regulated banking environment in a People function - Financial experience **Skills**: - Experience in project management: Ability to plan, organise and coordinate resources to achieve results from complex company wide initiatives. Clearly being able to highlight tradeoffs, risks and barriers to results. - Strategic thinking: Being able to step back from the details and understand the connections between the People space and N26 as a whole.
