**The Team**

The Business Intelligence team at Elastacloud collaborates with customers to help them achieve their business outcomes by providing solutions that would help them to make informed data driven business decisions. As part of this diverse team, you will work with our customers and partners including Microsoft.

Within the Business Intelligence team, you will be working with both internal and external stakeholders, following industry best practices such as Agile and Scrum to complete a project. In addition, you will identify, develop, and create new strategic business opportunities. New opportunities, intelligence-driven implementations and effective strategy based on insights data can provide businesses with a competitive advantage in a market and give profitable return on investments. We are looking for exceptional communicators, motivators, problem solvers and original thinkers to join the team.

You will collaborate directly with customers to help understand their requirements and engage with them during the project to talk about solutions and how the project is being delivered and how it is progressing. This will also involve presenting and demonstrating the solution to the customer as it is being developed.

**The Role**

A talented Business Intelligence Engineer with Elastacloud is a trusted developer to the customer on developing a data platform that is built on the Microsoft Azure technologies, thereby adding value, and increasing productivity for the customer.

The role involves analysing customers business requirements and performing big data analytics, including creating data pipelines, models, and dashboards, integrating analytics into business reporting, and communicating results to various stakeholders. This is typically at scale into cloud environments, for our customers in a variety of sectors including energy, rail, and retail.

- Design, develop and maintain optimised solutions that meet information or process improvement needs
- Identify high impact business problems and gather requirements for solution development
- Develop scripts and visualisations that are quick and easy to understand
- Identify new opportunities to build and/or enhance new features and products
- Collaborate with our team to examine and integrate external data sources that can improve our products
- Adopt and contribute to improving existing best practice, design, development, validation, and documentation practices for solutions
**Qualifications/Skills**

To be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working as a Business Intelligence within an IT technical environment
- Experience in ETL development
- Experience in agile methodologies and using Azure DevOps for maintaining and managing the daily tasks
- Experience of working with large data sets and performing expert analysis of its quality and usability
- Knowledge of Azure and/or Microsoft technologies (MSSQL, SSIS) and proficiency in data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, QLickSight) and dashboard building
- Knowledge of Data Modelling
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work as part of a team, but also able to undertake work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced environment
**Desirable**:

- Experience of working with cloud environments
- Presentation of data using Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Experience of Data Modelling
