**Job Responsibility**:
The Vodafone Italy Business Intelligence and Big Data team is the owner of the Vodafone Italy data stack which includes Business Intelligence and Analytics Systems.
It provides data and services to different stakeholders from predefined reports for business users, to self-service reporting for advanced BI users, analytics platform for data scientists as well as a data monetization platform open to external customers.
The platform we manage answers to multiple business needs leveraging on standard BI and ETL tools as well as on modern real time data streaming tools.

As an **Cloud Data Engineer**, you will be responsible in the definition and implementation of how data gets stored, consumed, and analyzed.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Understand the data and transform them inside a multi speed environment
- Analyze requirements and come up with technical solution to bring them to life
- Design and develop extensions to the data platform working on the E2E data pipeline
- Automate data manipulation and extraction through CI/CD Pipelines and CloudOps functionalities.
- Leverage on your analytical skills to create new value out of our data.
- Understand the business requirement and enhance the systems to provide the necessary data in the best way according to the IT strategy and the business needs.
- Define & implement the best strategy for data transformation.
- Provide value to the business improving the value of data working on an enterprise grade analytics platform that handles terabytes of data every day and working on data monetization programs.

**What you bring**:

- Knowledge of SQL, NOSQL, Hadoop/Big Data and data modelling concepts
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and patterns.
- Understanding of Ci/CD frameworks leveraging on tools as Jenkins + GitHub
- Understanding of distributed compute frameworks such as spark.
- Knowledge of data preparation
- Great communication skills and stakeholder management
- Fluent English speaking and writing.
- Fluent Italian speaking and writing
