Liquidity Risk Manager

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

In a growing context, we are looking for a Liquidity Risk Manager to join our team in Madrid and manage our organization's liquidity risk.

**What you will do...**
- **Develop and implement liquidity risk management policies, procedures, and processes** that comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- **Monitor the organization's liquidity position **and report on liquidity risk exposures to senior management and the board of directors.
- **Identify and assess liquidity risks** arising from the organization's business activities, including market and credit risk factors that may impact the organization's liquidity position.
- **Develop and maintain contingency funding plans** that ensure the organization can meet its financial obligations in the event of a liquidity crisis.
- Working with the Financial Institutions Relationship Manager, **establish and maintain relationships **with external stakeholders, such as regulators and counterparties, to stay abreast of market developments and best practices in liquidity risk management.
- **Collaborate **with Treasury, Credit Risk Management, and Finance departments to ensure that liquidity risk management strategies are aligned with the organization's overall risk management framework.
- Participate in stress testing exercises to evaluate the organization's resilience to liquidity shocks and assess the effectiveness of the contingency funding plan.
- **Provide guidance and training** to other departments on liquidity risk management practices and procedures.

**PROFILE**

**Preferred experience & Required Qualities**
- Degree in finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in liquidity risk management, preferably in a financial institution.
- Strong understanding of liquidity risk management principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience developing and implementing liquidity risk management policies, procedures, and processes.
- Knowledge of financial instruments and markets, including FX derivatives.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify, assess, and quantify liquidity risk exposures.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior management, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as FRM or CFA, are a plus.
