Compliance Officer

**About the Role**

We are looking for a Compliance Officer who will take a responsibility for identifying, assessing, and mitigating Compliance risks across Swiss Re's Group Functions, with a specific focus on Digital & Technology topics as we support the company's digital transformation initiatives. Be part of a team ensuring Swiss Re operations are conducted within the rules and regulations applicable to the financial industry worldwide, and adhering to our internal risk frameworks. Take a lead in providing Compliance guidance on the development and implementation of relevant standards, policies and processes, and carrying out training and reporting activities.

This is a role with a global scope and a focus on supporting Swiss Re's digital transformation projects, however you get the chance to support a diverse set of internal stakeholders including Procurement and Third-Party Enablement, HR, Communications, Corporate Real Estate, Group Risk Management and Legal & Compliance.

Core Responsibilities:

- Support the progress and maintenance of the Compliance Program, including associated Compliance risk mitigation standards for existing and new or amended regulations including policies, guidelines, training and communication.
- Provide Compliance guidance and technical expertise with respect to any Group Functions initiatives, Digital & Technology projects, partnerships and joint ventures.
- Identify Compliance requirements and implement the Compliance Program in Digital & Technology projects.
- Identify compliance risks in Group Functions that might impact Reinsurance, CorSo and/or iptiQ and coordinate risk mitigating efforts across Compliance teams.
- Design and conduct Compliance training.
- Monitor and act upon regulatory developments relating to Compliance Risks and the associated regulatory obligations.
- Perform regular Compliance Risk Assessments of Group Function divisions.
- Provide input to regular and relevant reporting to Senior Management.
- Support delivery of the Annual Compliance Plan.
- Participate in the Coordinated Assurance Framework working in close collaboration with Group Internal Audit and Risk Management.
- Be a valuable partner to internal stakeholders, identify risks in their areas and help them with their regular Compliance obligations.
- Promote Compliance culture and a culture of Integrity within the company.
- Establish and maintain cross-functional relationships with other team members, teams, functions, and Business Units.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the Compliance Program on a continuing basis and provide assurance to Management regarding the implementation of the Compliance Program in the Group Functions.

**About the Team**

This role reports to the Head of Compliance Group Functions. The Group Functions and Digital Transformation team is a global team of 5 responsible for providing Compliance advisory to Swiss Re Group Functions (Group Digital & Technology, Group HR and Corporate Services, Group Risk Management, Group Legal & Compliance). The team is part of the wider Group Frameworks team, a global team responsible for global Compliance Frameworks, group wide Compliance Assurance, Asset Management and Capital Markets, Group Functions, Digital Transformation, Digital Solutions and Compliance Analytics.

**About You**
- University or equivalent qualification
- Fluent in English is a must, German or Spanish is an advantage
- Minimum 5 years' experience in roles that demonstrate a mix of compliance/risk/governance and technology competencies.
- Good knowledge of regulatory requirements related to Data Protection, International Trade Controls and Economic Sanctions, Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, Insider Trading, Fraud, Bribery and Corruption, Conflict of Interests, Conduct Risk
- Be a strong communicator, ready to forge partnerships with our internal stakeholders and support them with Compliance and regulatory topics.
- A strong interest in digital transformation and digital product/solutions development
- Talent to form client-centric, effective and sustainable solutions to complex matters
- Ability to prioritise and work in a highly dynamic and changing matrix environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of control processes and systems
