Grupo Pulitzer is looking for a Reservations Agent for its two properties located in the vibrant city of Barcelona: Hotel Pulitzer and Hotel Regina. Hotel Pulitzer is one of the leading design hotels in town and Hotel Regina is a centenary hotel full of history and elegance. Provide back up & support to the Reservations Manager, Revenue Manager and Events Manager in all their daily tasks. Provide prompt, courteous and efficient handling of all requests for guest room reservations, changes, inquiries, complaints and cancellations in a courteous, efficient and professional manner in adherence to the Pulitzer standards. Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers. Obtain proof of payment information. Block guestrooms for incoming reservations based on specific guest requirements and document any special requests. Convert reservation sales calls to actual bookings and use up-selling techniques to maximize revenue. Check that reservations are correctly entered from the online intermediaries into the PMS through the interface. Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns. Ensure a follow-up of all reservations. Respond to and provide information on hotel services, local attractions, travel direction, etc. Remain up to date with all the promotions in and around the hotels. Review hotels data in GDS, Internet, online intermediaries... Manage groups & events business from the enquiry stage through to conversion, including client liaison and function sheet preparation to guarantee client satisfaction. Diploma within the hospitality field Previous experience in hotel reservations and/or front desk. Excellent communication skills. Written and oral proficiency in Spanish and English. Additional language skills are an asset. Friendly and guest-oriented. Confident and motivated. Ability to work as a part of a team. Ability to perform multi tasks and to work under pressure. Knowledge of Opera PMS and iHotelier Central Reservation System. Being a genuine Pulitzer ambassador with a "Yes, of course" attitude.
