**About the role**:
As a **Senior SysAdmin**, you’ll be a key player in the Tech Team, driving the implementation and maintenance of Flanks' infrastructure and security. Your expertise will help ensure our systems are robust, scalable, and secure ️.

In this role, you’ll leverage your deep understanding of cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices to streamline operations and optimize performance. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in aligning our technical capabilities with business objectives, enabling Flanks to deliver exceptional value.

**What you'll do ️**:
Here’s what you can expect to work on:

- **Infrastructure Management**: Design, build, and maintain Flanks' cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
- **Cloud Agnosticism**: Lead our journey towards a cloud-agnostic infrastructure, enabling greater flexibility and resilience across our systems ️.
- **Lifecycle Security**: Implement and uphold security best practices to ensure data availability, confidentiality, and integrity throughout the development lifecycle.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for optimizing system performance, automating processes, and reducing operational bottlenecks.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with engineers, product teams, and external stakeholders to align infrastructure goals with business objectives.

**What we'd love to see**:
- **Proven Experience**: You have a few years of experience in similar roles, bringing valuable lessons learned along the way.
- **Message Queues**: Solid knowledge of broker message queues such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar systems for cross-team collaboration.
- **Linux systems**: You have dealt with things like permissions and networking, and know your way around command-line tools
- **Database Skills**: Experience with database administration and scaling, including both SQL and NoSQL solutions.
- **Cloud Architecture**: Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience with Azure is a plus ️.
- **Infrastructure as Code**: Proficient in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or similar ️.
- **GitOps Workflows**: Comfortable with GitOps practices, currently using FluxCD, though familiarity with ArgoCD or equivalent tools is welcome.
- **Observability Tools**: Skilled in using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch to monitor and optimize system performance.
- **Security Mindset**: A strong focus on security, ensuring infrastructure and processes meet the highest standards.
- **Language Proficiency**: Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish to collaborate effectively in our bilingual environment ️.
