Team description

Adevinta’s Legal Team is undergoing a process of exciting change: we’re embarking on a journey to transform the delivery of legal services across our Marketplaces and Global and Corporate functions. To achieve this we’re investing in technology, automation and people to ensure that our lawyers help drive the group’s bottom line by providing high-value commercial legal services to our business partners. In this context, the new Head of Legal will occupy a key role in this new operating model, as they’ll be the pivot across the Global Procurement, local Marketplaces and Global Contracts Teams.

**Job Description**:
What you’ll do

Adevinta’s Global Legal Team is looking for a commercial technology and procurement contracts lawyer in Barcelona.

**You will**:
Work closely with Adevinta’s Central Procurement Team with the strategy, negotiation, drafting and conclusion of supplier contracts for the group (including RFP processes)

Provide constructive and solution-oriented commercial legal advice to business partners

Work with local and Global legal Teams to implement and reflect group and marketplaces requirements in Global procurement contracts

Instruct and work with external counsels on strategically important procurement contracts

**Qualifications**:
Who you are

10-15 years PQE at a major international law firm/in-house experience

Extensive experience in negotiating, drafting and analysing multi-territory commercial contracts, with a focus on IT/technology (e-commerce sector experience preferred)

Experience working with procurement teams in large international organisations

Strong commercial acumen and balanced approach to legal-commercial risk-taking

Ability to work effectively and flexibly across different territories and cultures in a fast-moving commercial environment

Attitude and ability to positively shape interactions between Adevinta’s legal function and its
