JOB DESCRIPTION:
Purpose of Role
- Responsible for meeting the legal requirements by identifying risks and opportunities along with hybrid and particularly remote working (both hybrid and contractual homebased employees) having a positive and safe working environment and where health is serious perceived by employees.
- Analysis, designs and prepares for approval any policy and/or procedures implementation to ensure global and locally requirements are meet in terms of occupational health. Collaborates with other functions on wider H&S matters (eg office related) to ensure a complete policy for employees is available and followed
- Help the organization to minimize the work-related accidents, supervise the operations to eliminate dangerous activities and to develop policies to encourage the Health and Safety awareness.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide advice to the organization to ensure that the legal requirements for Spanish legal entities and global locations are met, in collaboration with Procurement teams.
- Develop and implement global and local policies and procedures on H&S matters. This includes policies for risk prevention at the work place but also other relevant policies about ergonomic workspace for remote working or mandatory and recommended trainings similar topics (eg Risk Management COVID protocols)
- For specific countries, plan the periodical external audit and elaboration of the memory and the annual program of the prevention service. Liaise with Procurement on relevant matters.
- Day to day responsibilities
- Provide advice to the organization to minimize security risks
- Develop and implement occupational health and safety (OSH) policies (such as the accident reporting process)
- Direct accident investigation procedures.
- Keep records of security-related incidents and propose corrective measures
- Organize and carry out training plans in H&S matters
- Collaborate with management to monitor compliance and identify security issues
- Intervene in activities or operations without security
- Cooperate and inform the official regulatory bodies on health and safety at work
- To train and inform to the employees about their positions risks in the workplace.
- Implement the emergency measures.
- Organize and promote the periodical medicals checks and coordinate other well being activities in context of risk prevention for employees
- Manage the relationship with the different administrations regarding H&S matters (eg. Inspection or consellería de trabajo)
- Follow-up with Real Estate teams about the CAE activities (Coordinación de las Actividades Empresariales to ensure requirements from a non employee perspective are met

**Skills**:

- Strong H&S background, diligent and analytical.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, to be able to stablish close relations at all levels of the organization (people leaders, employees, and work councils).
- Pragmatic and solution orientated
- Displays integrity and company values, takes care of employee wellbeing
- Native level in Spanish and proficient in English language, other European languages will be a plus.
- Appreciation of risk management and dealing with ambiguity

Experience
- At least 3-5 years proven track record as H&S coordinator or in a similar position
- In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety (OSH) practices and guidelines for Spain and ideally another European Country. Able and comfortable to operate on global level without such in depth knowledge but ready to gain broad insights
- Expertise in reporting and implementation of local regulations
- Experienced in the implementation of occupational health and safety (OSH) training initiatives and programs

**Qualifications**:

- H&S certification
- University degree in psychology, Law or a related field like Environmental or Engineering studies will be a plus
- Able to work for “ Servicio de prevención mancomunado”, holding at least 3 of the 4 mandatory specialties in Spain
- Any other international or local H&S qualification outside Spain is welcome
