We are a global organization with headquarters based in New Zealand, specialising in translation services and software. We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team in Barcelona, Spain, to oversee the financial operations of the Europe region, which includes Spain, Belgium, Germany, UK, and Ireland. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the regional finance team and reporting directly to the Head Office in New Zealand.

**Responsibilities**:
**Team Management**:

- Lead and manage the regional finance team, consisting of three direct reports.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and identify training and development needs for the team.

**Financial Operations**:

- Oversee and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting and analysis for the Europe region.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, including review and approval of financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to the senior management team.

**Budgeting and Forecasting**:

- Collaborate with regional stakeholders to develop and manage the annual budgeting process for the Europe region.
- Prepare accurate financial forecasts, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual results, budgets, and forecasts, and communicate findings to key stakeholders.

**Compliance and Audit**:

- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal control policies.
- Liaise with external auditors and coordinate the annual audit process.
- Implement and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.

**Financial Systems and Tools**:

- Utilize advanced Excel skills to perform financial analysis, modelling, and reporting.
- Preferred experience with NetSuite to optimize financial processes and reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization within the finance function.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, preferably in a multinational company.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with advanced modelling and analytical skills.
- Experience working with NetSuite is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and cultures.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- **Must be hands-on**.
