Our client, a world's leading steel and mining company, works towards sustainable processes to produce the steels for tomorrow's world. To help them fulfill this goal, our client is looking for a Research Engineer in industrial wastewater treatment, to work on developping R&D solutions to make a sustainable use of water and reduce air emissions.

**MISSIONS**

In an international environment, you will join a team whose mission is to research, develop and evaluate the industrial feasibility of water solutions for current and future production processes in the steel industry.

You will contribute with your expertise industrial wastewater treatment to:

- Propose new and innovative solutions for the monitoring, control and treatment of industrial water with a view to zero effluent discharge.
- Maintain a permanent technological watch in the field of wastewater control and treatment for discharge and reuse in steel industry facilities
- Critically examine pollutant waste and the impact of water quality on the steel industry process in the group's plants.

**ACADEMIC SPHERE**

Master Degree or PhD in environmental, chemical, industrial or mining engineering. You have at least 5 years experience (PhD inculded) in a research area related to industrial wastewater treatment. Knowledge of reduction of air emissions will be an advantage.

**TECHNICAL SPHERE**
- Solid technical backgound in assessing the origin of pollutants in wastewater (cyanide, chlorine...) and in industrial wastewater treatment and reuse strategies
- Used to working and deploying solutions in industrial environments, coordinating with external teams and suppliers.
- Able to question current technologies and propose new ideas for innovative environmental solutions.
- High proficiency in English. Knowledge of Spanish is desirable
