OBSERVABLE UNIVERSE OF THE COMPANY

Our client, a world's leading steel and mining company, is looking for a **R**esearcher in Signal Processing applied to Predictive Maintenance**.

You will be part of the team is known as Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) and is part of Global R&D Spain center. It is a R&D team devoted to provide digital solutions worldwide for the group. DTS is a multidisciplinary team covering a wide variaty of scientific and business areas with our high qualified researchers (engineers, mathematicians, physicist...), all of them with deep expertise in combining Science and Business Know how.

MISSIONS

They want to develop their own tool (including UI software) that will support Maintenance teams on the ArcelorMittal sites (worldwide) to perform their tasks in a most efficient way. Your contribution would be to include a smart signal processing (different sources like vibrations, currents, temperatures, etc..) combined with advanced AI models that will alert the operators when an asset is not performing properly and that will give clues about the source of the problem and the remaining time until a breakage.

Currently the main research lines go through developing intelligent solutions based on analysis of vibrations, currents, voltages or temperatures. Your work will focus on the first part of the project working on the signal processing setting.

You will be in charge of the understanding and data acquisition part

**Profile**

ACADEMIC SPHERE

Degree in quantitative field: Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research or other related field, although Telecommunications/Electronics Engineering would be preferred.

2+ years experience in signal processing

TECHNICAL SPHERE
- Experience and solid background in electronic instrumentation as sensors.
- Experience and solid background with data acquisition systems and signal conditionning.
- Proficiency in at least one object oriented programming language (desirable Python and/or C#) and software development.
- Basic knowledge of electrical machines, motors, pumps, drives, etc...and/or demonstrable experience in maintenance works in industrial facilities would be desirable
- Desirable experience with Git, Docker, SQL and noSQL databases and/or signal visualization.
