Employing a mixed of advanced statistical models, AI/Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agent-Based Modeling (ABM), Social Network Analysis (SNA), high-performance computational methods are applied to a wide range of large datasets from official statistics, surveys, social media, news, laws, historical archives, current data archives, archaeology data, citizens' volunteered and web-scraping data, and public administration and industry data. We are seeking an enthusiastic and rigorous researcher in Social Sciences with special focus on the labor market and research transfer to policymakers. You’ll be part of the Equity and Welfare research group and report directly to the head of the group. "La financiación de estas actuaciones/becas y contratos, procede del Mecanismo de Recuperación y Resiliencia de la Unión Europea-Next Generation, en el marco de la Invitación General de la entidad pública empresarial Red.es para participar en los programas de atracción y retención del talento dentro de la Inversión 4 del Componente 19 del Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia.**Key Duties** - Conduct innovative research in the field of labor market and related areas that involves causal inference using observational data and computational methods and massive datasets (ML/AI, Statistical methods, text classification, topic modeling). - Contribute to writing and submitting project proposals of high scientific quality to seek competitive financial support at the international and European levels. - Collaborate with internal and external research groups, consolidating existing interdisciplinary collaborations and forging new alliances to advance in the field. - Work closely with the rest of the research group and the CSSH department to help translate research findings to public policy. **Requirements**: - Education - Phd in Political Science, Economics or related quantitative field - MA in Political Science, Economics or related quantitative field - Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience - Experience cleaning and crossing complex data sets - Experience as a researcher in labor market - Proven capacity to carry out research independently - Experience in causal inference of public policies using observational data - Good programming skills for statistical analysis (especially R) - Knowledge of qualitative data analysis (e.g ATLAS.ti) - Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience - Familiarity with the Spanish and Catalan Labor Market and related public policies - Proven track of publications in Labor Market - Fluency in English is essential.
