Financial Controller

**THE ROLE**

We’re looking for a driven Financial Controller to provide support to the financial department by ensuring the accuracy of financial information.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will work as part of a Finance Team and collaborate with external advisers.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Overseeing accounting operations ensuring that all accounting records are maintained accurately and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Monthly accounting review supporting the accounting team with accounts reconciliations and coordinating the monthly closing.
- Preparing financial statements: compiling and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure their accuracy and conformity with accepted accounting principles.
- Elaborate and analyze the monthly cash flow and perform the forecast.
- Performing the Profit and loss forecast.
- Preparing Financial reporting and conducting ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and regular forecasts, analyze significant variances between the budget and actual results and provide recommendations based on financial analysis to enhance profitability.
- Develop and maintain internal control systems.
- Evaluating and improving financial and accounting processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Take an active part in the implementation of a new ERP.
Participate in external audits.

**What you need to succeed**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Financial controller at least 4 years.
- In-depth knowledge of Spanish accounting laws.
- Experience in the Big 4 accounting firms is highly valued.
- Demonstrated experience in financial statement preparation and financial management.
- Proficiency in MS EXCEL.
- Proficiency in financial and accounting tools.
- Knowledge of SQL will be a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of Gsuite.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the superb organizational skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical and planning skills.
