**Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Complete routine legal work, including but not limited to: assist with contract review and processes, prepare and review routine contracts, work on required contract templates, support the proper maintenance of legal records
- Review corporate documents and liaise with outside counsel on corporate matters. Supervise and support the EMEA Legal Department Administrative Assistance as to the formalization, review, signature and recordkeeping of corporate documents, powers of attorney and contracts.
- Support the EMEA business teams with all and any requests related to powers of attorney and required formalities.
- Manage autonomously low-complexity local and regional matters, under the supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel, EMEA.
- As directed by the Senior Legal Counsel, EMEA, act as a liaison between internal CHS business teams and external legal service providers in the matters under their responsibility.
- Collaborate with the Senior Legal Counsel, EMEA in implementing best practices in meeting legal needs of the EMEA business and engage in sharing best practices across broader portions of the EMEA Region and the CHS Legal Department.
- Collaborate with the Senior Legal Counsel, EMEA and Global Compliance team to provide coordinated support for compliance activities in EMEA
- Support the Senior Legal Counsel, EMEA and the Litigation colleagues at the Global Legal & Compliance Team with the conduction and management of claims and litigation in EMEA
- Support the EMEA Legal Department Administrative Assistant to ensure processes are set for efficient internal billing, including invoice review of the matters under its responsibility
- Champion and promote a strong compliance culture, follow all compliance policies, procedures and regulations.

**Minimum Qualifications (required)**:

- University degree in law. Admittance to the bar in either Spain or Romania. Specialization or post-graduate degree is appreciated.
- 3-6 years experience as an in-house attorney in the areas of corporate law, mergers/acquisitions/joint ventures, and customer and supplier, or in law firms in a broad range of corporate related matters.
- Experience in working with cross-border matters.
- Experience in commodity trading is an asset.
- Fluent in English (oral and written) is a must, as well as Romanian or Spanish. Additional languages are an asset.
- Good advisory skills, ability to manage small to medium national or regional matters independently.
