**Job Description**:
**The Role**
Content Management and Authoring is the newest and fastest growing capability within Merkle’s Managed Services area. After onboarding 2 big clients there’s a need for Senior direction to shape the growth of this capability with the objectives to:
- ensure excellence across client delivery;
- retain and grow our best people;
- create a scalable business.
During the development of the capability, we would need a level of adaptability, as demand changes and focus needs to shift between client service levels, technical excellence, process optimisation, resource management, knowledge transfer and capability growth.
The role spans across various clients, working with multiple teams and ensuring flawless delivery regardless of scale and complexity.
We work with teams with mixed skillsets to provide the best possible outcome for our clients. As such you will work alongside experts in Search Engine Optimisation, Tag Management, Content Authoring and Analytics.
We would also expect our Capability Lead to work closely with the relevant Solutions and Enablement colleagues, to support the onboarding of new clients as well as project delivery support if required. Quality Assurance is also a significant task within the role.
Ultimately, a Capability Lead would:
- Be responsible for service design and optimisation, defining best delivery approach across all work.
- Be responsible for technical skills definition and training of specialists.
- Be point of contact for escalation within the team on technical issues that cannot be resolved by Senior Specialists.
- Deliver Strategic resourcing and capacity planning.
- Be accountable for Service Level performance.
- Advise on best-practice.
**Life as a Capability Lead at Merkle**
We are looking for you to have experience in website content management using Adobe Experience Manager plus ideally other web content management systems. You will need to be technically strong in order to support our Senior Content Authors, identify knowledge gaps in the team and design training plans to close them.
You would also be an ambassador for best practice and knowledge transfer across the capability. Defining and refining processes and operating models is key to ensure efficient delivery to highest standards.
You will be working closely with the leadership team and other capability leads to align on business objectives, project outcomes and brainstorm new ideas. The team you’ll be looking after contains of approximately 20 Content and Senior Content Authors working with AEM and Iceberg.
Qualifications:

- Experience with classic and touch UI authoring interfaces within AEM.
- Experience in link configuration and redirect management.
- Working with AEM multi-site manager features.
- Experience in working with multi-region, multi-lingual sites and managing change and content across these.
- Experience of content fragments and experience fragments.
- Knowledge of website accessibility principles.
- Knowledge of website technical SEO practices when building pages.
- Managing pages, page properties, and metadata.
- Asset management within AEM.
- AEM workflow configuration.
- Page publication and deactivation.
- Working with content translations and implementing regional versions of pages.
- Work with internal teams on training and providing support in Content Management.
- Serve as an expert on best practices and educating others.
- Participate in business process due diligence and documentation.
- Present to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Passion to drive innovation and best practices.
- Team lead experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
