**The position**:
This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a **Manager, Social Media Strategist**, joining our **Communications** team.

As Head of Social Media, you'll be bringing your social media enthusiasm and intricate knowledge of the ins and outs of all social media platforms and community hubs including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Linkedin, Twitch, Quora and Reddit to a new Communications team.

You'll be responsible for creating efficient end to end processes and strategy to support the successful delivery of social media content, new community focused campaign to support communications campaigns, product launches and feature updates, and partnering with the wider Growth team to drive brand and business goals around acquisition, engagement, and retention. Additionally, you'll distill qualitative and quantitative insights to inform our comms roadmap and overall strategy.

**Requirements**:

- At least 3 years of experience with managing a team of Social Media Managers
- Hiring and leading a team of Social Media Managers
- Significant experience managing community development and social media
- Expertise on how to leverage different social platforms and community channels to drive growth, engagement, and business goals
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
- Proven track record leveraging community insights to shape comms strategies and product plans.
- Writes and speaks fluent English
- It's not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop and shape Remote's social strategy across Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Quora, YouTube, and other social platforms.
- Grow Remote's community across these platforms, with a focus on diversity and inclusion
- Coordinate day to date editorial content calendar executions including excellent copywriting, asset coordination and publishing to all relevant brand social channels.
- Experience with coordinating assets. Knowledge of creative dimension sizes and the different nuances of how they display on each platform
- Experience with social community management and ability to maintain Remote's social voice, tone, and style when interacting with the community
- Lead the creation of community focused campaigns that drive acquisition, retention, engagement, and business goals for Remote.
- Analyse and report on the performance of owned social channels to measure the effectiveness of our efforts, with an emphasis on continuous optimization and iteration.
- Develop, document and share our social processes that help drive efficiencies across a cross-functional org that facilitate best-in-class social brand presence.

**Remote Compensation Philosophy**:
Remote's Total Rewards philosophy is to ensure fair unbiased compensation and fair pay along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate. We do not agree to or encourage cheap-labour practices and therefore pay a minimum annual salary of USD 40,000 per year, in all locations throughout the world. Actual compensation may vary based upon geographical location, experience, and/or skill level. However, it will never be below our minimum global compensation mentioned.
